Pay attention to details before forming plastic bottles

Update:04 Jan 2021

Pay attention to the following issues before forming plastic bottles. It should be noted that the shape of the plastic bottle should be symmetrical. Minimize stretch points and parts. All transitions adopt circular arc transitions.

1 Make the wall thickness of the plastic bottle uniform.

Consumers pay attention to the concentrated areas. The printed surface should be smooth and continuous; if the liquid plastic bottle contains handles, grooves, ribs and other structures,

2 The printing surface of a plastic bottle. Care should be taken not to cause inconvenience to the printing operation when designing.

The label surface should be flat. A "frame" can be designed on the outside of the plastic bottle to accurately position the label,

3 When a label is used on the exterior of the plastic bottle. No movement occurs.

For example, the middle of the plastic bottle is relatively thinner,

4 Change the appearance of the plastic bottle. Increasing the circumferential grooves or ribs on the outer surface of the plastic bottle can improve the rigidity and bending resistance of the plastic bottle. The longitudinal grooves or ribs can eliminate the deviation, sagging or deformation of the plastic bottle under temporary load.

If the material is high density polyethylene or polypropylene,

5 When designing squeeze plastic bottles. The cross section of the plastic bottle should be rectangular or oval. For the material of low-density polyethylene or other flexible plastic bottles, the cross section should be round. This makes it easier to squeeze the contents out of the plastic bottle. The first part of the parison blown into contact,

6 During blow molding. Always tend to harden first. Therefore, the wall thickness of this part is also larger. The wall thickness of the edge and corner part, the part where the parison is in contact with inflation, is smaller. Therefore, the edges and corners of the plastic bottle should be designed with rounded corners.
